Turn scheduled homeowner appointments into sales — and build a six-figure career.
Florida Attics is looking for a sales-driven professional who knows how to build trust, communicate value and close business.
You'll visit homeowners who have already booked a free attic inspection, evaluate their insulation and attic conditions, show them what you find and recommend the right solution. You'll own the conversation from inspection through quote and close, with training and a defined sales process to help you succeed.
You won't be cold calling, knocking on doors or buying leads. Our marketing generates appointments, and homeowners schedule their inspections themselves.
This is a performance-based opportunity for someone who wants control over their earning potential and is comfortable being accountable for results.
What you get
- $100,000–$150,000 projected annual earnings at on-target performance, with uncapped commission potential
- Pre-booked homeowner appointments provided by Florida Attics
- No cold calling or lead buying
- Commission on closed jobs, plus performance bonuses
- Hands-on training in attic inspections, insulation, quoting and in-home sales
- A clear process for inspecting, presenting recommendations and closing
- The opportunity to help grow a home-services business serving Central and Northeast Florida
About Florida Attics
Florida Attics helps homeowners improve their attic insulation through services such as insulation removal, replacement and blown-in insulation upgrades.
Our process is straightforward: homeowners book a free inspection, we examine the attic, explain what we find and provide an itemized quote for the work that makes sense.
We believe homeowners should understand what they're paying for and why. Our sales process is built around showing the customer the actual conditions in their attic, explaining their options and making it easy to move forward when they're ready.
We're building a business around a strong customer experience, efficient operations and a sales team that takes ownership of its results.
The role
As an Attic Inspector & Sales Consultant, you'll be the face of Florida Attics in the homeowner's home.
You'll drive to scheduled appointments, enter the attic to inspect its condition, document your findings and walk the homeowner through your recommendations. You'll then prepare an itemized quote, answer questions, address concerns and ask for the sale when the proposed work is a good fit.
This is not a role where you simply inspect an attic and pass the lead to someone else. You are responsible for both the inspection experience and the sales outcome.
Appointments are scheduled for you, and you'll manage your territory and daily appointments using our phone- or tablet-based tools.
What you'll do
Inspect and document
- Complete approximately 3–5 scheduled homeowner inspections per day, depending on appointment locations and job complexity
- Enter accessible attic spaces and assess existing insulation depth, coverage and condition
- Look for visible air-leakage pathways, moisture concerns, pest debris, ductwork issues and other conditions relevant to the proposed work
- Take clear photos and record measurements and observations in our inspection app
Consult and recommend
- Walk homeowners through the findings in plain English
- Use photos and measurements to explain the difference between the attic's current condition and the recommended solution
- Explain relevant options, scope of work and itemized pricing without unnecessary technical jargon
- Answer questions and help homeowners make informed decisions
Sell and close
- Prepare and present the quote during the appointment
- Explain the value of the recommended work and address reasonable questions or objections
- Ask for the business and, when the customer agrees to proceed, collect the required deposit and secure the installation date
- Follow up by phone or text on open quotes and help convert outstanding opportunities into completed sales
Manage your pipeline and handoffs
- Record inspection results, quotes, follow-ups and outcomes in the CRM on the same day
- Maintain organized appointment records and communicate promptly with homeowners
- Give the installation team accurate job scopes, photos, access details and relevant notes
- Represent Florida Attics professionally throughout the customer experience
Who we're looking for
We're interested in people who can sell, communicate clearly and take ownership of their results. You don't need prior insulation experience — we'll teach you our inspection process and product knowledge.
Required qualifications
- 1–3 years of sales experience with evidence of closing business. Relevant experience may include in-home sales, automotive sales, roofing, solar, pest control, retail or other customer-facing sales roles
- A reliable vehicle, valid driver's license and current auto insurance
- Ability to travel throughout your assigned service territory
- Ability to safely climb ladders and work in accessible attic spaces, which may involve Florida heat, low-clearance areas and lifting or carrying up to 50 pounds as required by the job
- Comfort using a smartphone or tablet to document inspections, take photos, prepare quotes and manage customer information
- Strong verbal communication, professionalism and the ability to earn a homeowner's trust
- Willingness to work a performance-based, 100% commission compensation plan
- Ability to complete the company's job-related background screening
You'll stand out if you have
- A track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Experience selling higher-ticket products or services in a customer's home
- The ability to explain technical information in simple, customer-friendly language
- Strong follow-up habits and a disciplined approach to managing a pipeline
- Experience in home services, construction, roofing, insulation, HVAC, pest control or related trades
- Experience working in a commission-based sales environment
- English/Spanish bilingual communication skills
Compensation and earning potential
100% commission with uncapped earning potential.
The advertised $100,000–$150,000 annual earnings range represents projected on-target earnings, including performance bonuses, rather than guaranteed pay. Your earnings will depend on closed sales, the applicable commission structure, performance bonuses and your results.
The compensation plan includes:
- Commission on closed jobs under the company's written compensation plan
- Potential monthly performance bonuses tied to sales volume and close rate
- No preset cap on commission earnings
- Pre-booked appointments supplied by Florida Attics, so you can focus on inspections, customer conversations and closing
This opportunity is best suited to someone who is motivated by measurable results and is comfortable with variable income.
The position does not include a guaranteed base salary. Commission terms, bonus requirements, payment timing and applicable worker classification will be explained before you accept an offer.
Training and onboarding
You don't need to arrive knowing everything about attic insulation. You do need to be willing to learn and apply the process.
Training includes:
- Attic insulation fundamentals and common attic conditions
- How to conduct and document an inspection
- How to use our inspection app, quoting tools and CRM
- How to present findings and explain recommendations
- How to prepare itemized quotes and handle common customer questions
- How to ask for the sale, collect deposits and schedule installation
- Ride-alongs with an experienced inspector before managing appointments independently
Our goal is to give you the product knowledge, tools and process to conduct professional inspections and sell confidently.
